After a truly thrilling 2024 Betfred Super League season, there is plenty to look forward to in 2025!
Thursday (21 November) sees the official release of the 2025 fixture schedule, so let’s take a quick look at what we know so far and what we can expect to find out later this week…
What do we already know?
We know that the new season will kick off in February and conclude with the Betfred Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford on Saturday 11 October. Grab your Final early bird tickets here!
We also know that 12 teams will play 27 rounds in the regular season – 11 home games, 11 away games, and four loop fixtures, plus the highly anticipated Magic Weekend at St James’ Park.
The Summer Festival of Rugby League returns to Newcastle in 2025 after a one-year hiatus and it’s going to be an epic May Bank Holiday weekend for our fans back on the Toon (3 & 4 May).
Enjoy a full round of Betfred Super League fixtures and non-stop action and entertainment in a fantastic city, as we celebrate Magic Weekend’s 18th birthday, as well as the 10th anniversary of Super League’s first Magic Weekend in Newcastle in 2015.
The fixtures for next year’s Magic Weekend have already been announced:
Adult tickets start at just £30 for the day, with Season Ticket Holders receiving a further 50% off when they purchase directly from their Super League club. Not a club member? And before our beloved Magic event takes place, we also know that Wigan Warriors will meet Warrington Wolves in Las Vegas in March 2025 (Saturday 1) - to add to the international flavour of the NRL’s return to the USA.
The Warriors have agreed to switch their home league fixture against the Wolves – a rematch of last year's Betfred Challenge Cup Final at Wembley – to the iconic Allegiant Stadium – alongside a historic clash between England and Australia Women, as well two huge NRL clashes which includes the four-time Premiership winners, Penrith Panthers.
All four matches will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, as a glimpse of Super League is set to be showcased in a dazzling Vegas.
